Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence

Madrid gathered faith representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to celebrate dialogue, diversity and mutual respect. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers offered different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can help build more inclusive communities.

During the event, participants explored themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when supported by education and dialogue.
